Srinagar, Sep 22 (KNO): Director General of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) G P Singh, on Monday felicitated jawans who during ‘Operation Mahadev’ on July 28 neutralized three terrorists responsible for the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack that left 26 civilians, mostly tourists dead.
An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that at Government College Srinagar, DG Singh felicitated the valiant jawans who were a part of ‘Operation Mahadev,’ which led to the neutralization of the three dreaded Pakistani terrorists.
He said during his two-day visit to Kashmir, DG Singh presided over a high-level strategic review attended by senior CRPF officers. “The meeting focused on strengthening counter-terrorism operations and ensuring sustained peace and security across the region,” the official added.
“During the meeting, DG Singh stressed the importance of combat fitness, self-discipline and tactical excellence to overcome evolving security challenges in the Valley. The interaction concluded with a high tea, where the DG interacted with the troops in an informal and encouraging atmosphere,” he said, adding, “The felicitation aims to motivate personnel, boost morale and reinforce vigilance among forces deployed across sensitive areas.”—(KNO)
